3.23.54 MySQL Upgrade



This document explains how to upgrade your MySQL to version 3.23.54 with latest security patches. If you are running it on RedHat older than 7.1, don't do it yourself. Please turn to support@psoft.net so we can do it for you.

  1. Back up your MySQL DBs.
  2. Log into your MySQL server as root:
    su -
  3. Download the script from the psoft site:
    Linux:
    wget http://www.psoft.net/shiv/MySQL/u-mysql-3.23.54
    FreeBSD:
    fetch http://www.psoft.net/shiv/MySQL/u-mysql-3.23.54
  4. Run the script:
    sh ./u-mysql-3.23.54
    and you're done.
