All owners of H-Sphere 2.3 RC2 using domain registration feature with Enom and OpenSRS registrars must
apply this patch which:
- addresses Enom API changes effective 1 November;
- optimizes source code for the Domain Registrar Manager;
- improves bug handling in registrar response processing;
- adds manual domain renewal option (more...)
To install the patch:
- In the beginning, ask your resellers to check that their
company info is correctly entered (no fields should be left empty), as it will be used as
Billing and Tech info for registered domains. With reseller
company info incorrect or incomplete, resellers' end users
may start encountering problems with domain registration.
Company Info is set in the reseller admin CP on the Look&Feel -> Company info page.
- Log into your control panel server as root.
- Download the patch from:
http://www.psoft.net/shiv/HSUpdate-23/DOMAIN-REGISTRAR-PATCH.tgz
- Untar the patch:
tar -zxf DOMAIN-REGISTRAR-PATCH.tgz
- Change dir to where you have unpacked the patch:
cd DOMAIN-REGISTRAR-PATCH
- Type make install to install the patch.
- Restart Control Panel (see here for instructions).
After installing the patch and restarting the CP, set the following
parameters on the registrar configuration page:
- 'Warn users about domain expiration this many days in advance'
- 'Renew domains this many days before domain expiration'
This should be done for every Enom and OpenSRS registrar account.
