Accumulative Patch 5 For H-Sphere 2.3 RC3

Patch 5 For RC3:

    new
  • fixes a bug with calculation of the reseller's domain registration setup fees when using default prices;
  • fixes a problem with an invoice item name for WorldPay;
  • from the earlier patches
  • fixes a problem with 'Users' search report;
  • fixes a web interface glitch when editing auto-responder or mailing list properties;
  • adds support for HTTPS protocol to interact with Enom;
  • brings in an additional property to set the default protocol for the temporary reseller CP URL;
  • fixes a knowledgebase search by categories;
  • fixes search for accounts by logical and physical servers;
  • enables account move between resellers with different regional settings by creating identical plans under target resellers;
  • creates internal trouble tickets during the execution of the accounting process;
  • adds First and Last Name fields to the Company Info to ensure domain registration with correct personal info;
  • displays internal IPs for reseller's name server aliases when using NAT;
  • fixes problems with knowledgebase suggestions in a trouble ticket system;
  • fixes a vulnerability issue in Reseller Domain Registrar Manager.

To install the patch:

  1. Log into your control panel server as root.
  2. Download the patch:
    wget http://www.psoft.net/shiv/HSUpdate-23/RC3PATCH5.tgz
  3. Unpack the patch:
         tar -zxf RC3PATCH5.tgz
  4. Change dir to where you have unpacked the patch:
         cd RC3PATCH5
  5. Type 'make install' to install the patch.
  6. Restart Control Panel (see here for instructions).
  7. Skip the following steps if you already have "Reseller registrar patch" of 2 Dec 2002 installed
  8. If you have an account with OpenSRS, go to their web interface, re-generate the key, and enter it in the H-Sphere OpenSRS configuration page as suggested here.
  9. If you have an account with Enom, go to their web interface, change your password, and enter it in the H-Sphere Enom configuration page as suggested here.
  10. Skip the following step if you already have "Combined patch" of 9 Dec 2002 installed
  11. If you or your resellers provide domain registration services, you and you resellers need to fill in 'Owner first name' and 'Owner last name' on the Look and Feel -> Company Info page.
  12. Skip the following steps if you already have "Accumulative bugfix for RC3" of 16 Dec 2002 installed
  13. If you or your resellers provide domain registration services, you and your resellers need to fill in 'Owner first name' and 'Owner last name' on the Look and Feel -> Company Info page (you may have done it when installing the previous patch).
  14. Open file ~cpanel/shiva/psoft_config/hsphere.properties and add the following string:
    DEFAULT_RESELLER_CP_PROTOCOL = http://
    Set this value to https:// if you have a shared SSL certificate installed on your web servers.
  15. If you would like to work with Enom via HTTPS, select Domain Registrar in the Settings menu of your admin control panel and change the protocol.
